We recently added the Gifts category and you can now add notes on your transactions by going to the transaction details.

Good morning,
In addition to this proposal, I made another one so that the notes are exported during CSV exports. This makes it possible to create accounts with new labels.
Adding these notes to the export should be fairly easy to do.
